Smyrna Fire Department hosts Rockvale High firefighter competition
Students from Rockvale High School’s Fire Management and Science Program visited Smyrna Fire Department Station 2 for a firefighter competition that gave participants hands-on experience with fire service tasks.
The students rotated through 10 hands-on stations designed to test skills and provide insight into the responsibilities of the fire service. Smyrna firefighters guided the competition, evaluated student performance and shared lessons from their own experience.
The department expressed pride in the students’ determination, teamwork and enthusiasm for learning. Smyrna Fire Department extended special thanks to Robert Gingrow of Rockvale High School for inviting the department to participate.
