Smyrna Fire Department Food Drive Runs Nov. 9–15
The Smyrna Fire Department food drive runs November 9–15 and is collecting non-perishable food items for local neighbors.
Donations may be dropped off at any Smyrna fire station throughout the week. A special collection event takes place Saturday, November 14, at Walmart from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The department noted the local need, citing Feeding America figures that 1 in 8 Rutherford County residents experienced food insecurity in 2023. The event is part of the department’s long-running neighbors-helping-neighbors effort to gather food for those in need.
